The move comes as regulators tighten oversight. the Karachi Chamber of Commerce issued new guidelines in January requiring companies to store customer data locally and to report security incidents within 72 hours.

The company said the initiative would create roughly 80 jobs over the next two years, most of them in Rawalpindi and Gujranwala. It did not disclose the size of the investment, but people familiar with the plans put the figure at between $80 million and $750 million.
