ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN — The Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), in strategic coordination with the Ignite National Technology Fund and the nationwide network of National Incubation Centers (NICs), has announced the rollout of the 2026 Cloud Credits, Security Compliance, and Global Market Access Program aimed at accelerating enterprise export contracts for Pakistani software houses and AI-native startups.
1. Eliminating the Enterprise Compliance Barrier (SOC 2 & ISO 27001)
As global enterprise procurement departments in North America, the European Union, and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) tighten vendor risk management requirements, mid-sized Pakistani software exporters frequently lose high-value contracts not on technical capability, but due to the absence of internationally audited security certifications.
Under the newly expanded 2026 Certification Co-Funding Track, PSEB-registered IT and ITeS exporters can apply for cost-sharing grants covering up to 70% of consultancy and external audit fees for:
- SOC 2 Type II and ISO/IEC 27001:2022 Information Security Management Systems (ISMS).
- ISO/IEC 42001 Artificial Intelligence Management System (AIMS) certification for companies deploying generative AI solutions for enterprise clients.
- HIPAA and PCI-DSS v4.0 compliance audits for Pakistani HealthTech and FinTech engineering vendors serving US and MENA institutions.
- CMMI Level 3 & Level 5 software process maturity appraisals.
2. Cloud & GPU Compute Grants Through National Incubation Centers
In parallel with export certification support, Ignite and the National Incubation Centers operating in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, Faisalabad, and Hyderabad have established a dedicated Cloud & AI Infrastructure Track for early-stage and growth-stage startups:
- Hyperscale Cloud & Inference Credits: Qualifying startups receive structured cloud infrastructure credits across partner cloud providers to cover production Kubernetes hosting, managed databases, and API inference workloads during their first 18 months of commercialization.
- B2B Enterprise Matchmaking Desks: Dedicated business development liaisons in Riyadh, Dubai, London, and Silicon Valley will connect vetted Pakistani engineering firms directly with enterprise RFPs (Requests for Proposals) and systems integrators.
"Our objective in 2026 is to help Pakistani technology companies move up the global value chain—from low-margin staff augmentation to high-margin, compliance-certified enterprise product and AI engineering contracts," the joint program secretariat stated in Islamabad.
3. Subsidized Global Trade Pavilions for 2026–2027
The program also confirms subsidized delegation participation under the "Tech Destination Pakistan" banner at major international technology exhibitions, including:
- LEAP (Riyadh, Saudi Arabia) and GITEX Global (Dubai, UAE) for Middle East public-sector and banking digital transformation contracts.
- Web Summit (Lisbon & Doha) and London Tech Week for European SaaS and venture capital syndication.
Eligibility & Application Details: Technology companies with valid PSEB registration certificates, active tax compliance status, and verifiable export revenues via banking channels (IT/ITeS purpose codes 9181–9186) may submit applications directly through the official PSEB exporter portal.
